A place to see a few photos and a few words about Sydney art exhibitions when you can't get there yourself. Or when you want to see photos of yourself on the internet.
Water and Music is the debut solo exhibition from photographer Lucien Alperstein. The collection featured a series of black and white photos from two very different angles. His water series was very personal and spontaneous, documenting friends and well… water. The music series was a collection from Alpersteins documentation of the Sound Series performances held at Hardware Gallery. Heavy contrast and balanced composition tied the works together. Alperstein’s use of black and white gave a sense of nostalgia to the collection.

Bennett has been a regular in group shows and street art events across the country for quite some time now. It’s great to see him jump into the spotlight with a body of work that gives us more of an insight into his evoloution as an artist.

“Lawn Ball” by Anthony O’Connor (above) challenged the viewer to stick their hands into a mystery box and experience tough without a visual reference. Great concept, strange sensation.

Posted in Opening (old) | Comments OffOh Really Gallery is becoming an underground success story. A bunch of friends, a real estate gamble and a love of street art has taken this little gallery from a bunch of mates displaying their own work, to a legitimate gallery space. Over the last 12 months they have been developing a reputation for showing some of Sydney’s best street artists and it seems they are branching into new grounds with their next show being portrait photography.
