China Heights is proud to present ‘The Absence of Man’, an exhibition by Hiroyasu ‘Twoone’ Tsuri and Thomas Jackson.

In their first exhibition exclusively together, they each use an abstract touch of nature to take the viewer to a new world. A new world where the absence of man is seen by the decrepit remains of old buildings and natural re-growth.

While both artists use spray paint and acrylic on wooden surfaces, Twoone also applies lino prints and pencil to found wooden objects. For the exhibition, both artists have also created hanging and free standing, three-dimensional sculptures.

Twoone and Thomas Jackson are both incredibly notable in the Melbourne street art scene. Both share a joined fascination of the ‘found’ and ‘mans need to build’. With a combination of colours, explicit detail, a common love of nature and correct framing, the works almost appear as a window into the aforementioned, lush and foreign world.

In the absence of man, nature will take over.
